# User Journey

Fiat-to-Crypto Made Easy. The Ping Onramp allows users to purchase cryptocurrency using fiat payment methods through a simple popup flow.

### How it Works

Ping leverages NEAR Intents and the Coinbase API, to enable seamless fiat-to-crypto Onramps.

Users deposit their fiat currency in order to receive native USDC on the Base.

**Now Ping takes over:** If your ultimate goal was to Onramp into USDC on Base, then great – the USDC can go straight to your wallet on Base. But if your goal was a different asset or a different blockchain (e.g., NEAR on the NEAR blockchain), the USDC on Base is then routed through the Intents network and swapped into that preferred asset and destination wallet in less than 30 seconds.

Users are able to Onramp into any of the “supported assets” if they are in any of the “supported regions”. For US users, you can Onramp up to $500 per week, using Guest Checkout, with no KYC via Apple Pay and debit cards. \
Global expansion will follow, as we expand onramp and fiat currency partners!

**Note:** At no point does Ping take custody of your fiat or cryptocurrency. The fiat goes to the onramp partner (like Coinbase), and the crypto goes directly to you via the Intents Network. In the unlikely event of a failed intents swap, the onramped assets will be safe and available for redeem by the user through support.

#### Fees

The Ping Onramp flow is designed to keep fees transparent and as low as possible for the end user. Depending on the integration you are using, the following fee types may apply:

| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Onramp Provider Fees | Processed through our current provider (Coinbase Onramp). **This fee is currently 0%.**                                                                        |
| Pingpay Fees         | Pingpay charges **a 0.75% fee** for using the Ping Onramp.                                                                                                     |
| NEAR Intents Fees    | Cross-chain execution is powered by NEAR Intents. Only the protocol fee applies, which is **0.0001%** of the routed transaction.                               |
| Partner-Defined Fees | Integrators may optionally add their own fee using the appFees parameter. This fee is fully controlled by the partner and is included in the customer’s total. |

All applicable fees and a clear breakdown of the final rate are displayed in the **Rate** **Popup** during the onramp flow. This can be viewed before initiating the onramp flow to make payment.&#x20;
